Famous for: Analyst Relations (AR) – in the European IT and telecoms sectors
Track Record: Lore has more than 17 years experience in the IT industry specialising in analyst relations for clients from Sun to HP. Outside work, Lore enjoys travel, films, reading, walking, yoga and yoga therapy. Lore is a trained Hatha Yoga teacher and gives therapy to children with special needs.
Lore started in IT PR where she worked for clients such as Siemens, Sun Microsystems, Amdahl and Software AG. Since specialising in industry analyst relations, she headed up the Hewlett Packard EMEA AR team at Insight Analyst Relations and expanded the client base to include vendors such as VERITAS Software, Staffware, Articon-Integralis, Seebeyond, Telisma, Freemarkets and others, and carried out analyst relations project work for Accenture and PeopleSoft.
Since being a consultant, Lore's industry analyst experience has included: Arcot, Avaya, Cognito, Iomega, Novell, Symantec and Triometric, as well as project work with various companies in the mobile and services space.
Lore has a thorough grounding – at a non technical level - in all aspects of IT hardware, software, applications and services as well as telecommunications, mobile and wireless technologies, and has over time built up close relationships with all the key analysts covering those sectors.
Prior to moving into the IT PR sector, Lore worked as international sales manager for a UK company producing and distributing film and video programmes for management training and development, technical and vocational training and general education, and in this role travelled across Europe and the Far East.
Lore is of Dutch origin, but has lived and worked in the UK for many years and recently gained British citizenship. She studied History of Art at the University of Amsterdam and achieved her English Language degree level qualification at The Institute of Linguists in London. As well as being fluent in English and her Dutch mother tongue, Lore also speaks French and German and has an understanding of Spanish.
