Famous for: Corporate communication & customer advocacy - with specialism in the Technology sector. Outside work, Daniel enjoys spending time with friends and family, running and playing racquet sports. Also, he is restoring a disused pub!
Track Record: Daniel has 18 years experience as a business-to-business and business-to-consumer communication specialist, building brands and market share for companies. He is passionate about nurturing customers as advocates for the mutual benefit of clients and their customers.
Before founding Famous4 Communications, he spent five years driving creative thought leadership campaigns to build the reputation for global communication networking company, Avaya (www.avaya.com). During that time he was known for integrating internal and external communication including government affairs and advertising in the UK as well as responsibility for public relations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. In addition, he created Avaya's corporate affairs strategy for convergence and the environment, including its flexible working strategy ahead of the Government's Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (formerly DTI Employment) legislation in 2003.
Also, he was Avaya's representative on InterForum (www.Interforum.org.uk), the public and private sector non-profit organisation that helps UK businesses benefit from IT. Daniel was part of a team which created Work Wise UK (http://www.workwiseuk.org). This 5 year campaign lobbied to make the UK the most progressive economy in the world by encouraging the adoption of smarter working practices to both employers and employees.
Prior to Avaya, Daniel was European PR manager at ICL where he built its international profile ahead of what was scheduled to be the largest tech flotation in 2000. Following cancellation of the flotation, he led the corporate communication strategy for the rebranding of ICL to Fujitsu Services. In 2001, he was part of the ICL corporate communication team that won the Computing PR Campaign of the Year award.
Daniel started his career in high-tech communication consultancy where he advised clients - large and small - on the development of integrated communication campaigns spanning media and analyst relations to direct and channel marketing for clients such as NEC, Netscape, Compuware and Powersoft (now part of Sybase).
